Russell Hobbs 19750

Used every day by my sister in law who is visiting from Indonesia. She is used to using a rice cooker and so asked my to order this one. It is worth the money and she is very happy with it. Same quality as I've come to expect from Russell Hobbs (as I use their Irons and find them excellent)

Bought this and used it about 3 times. The price should have been a clue. Its a basic unit with a system that uses a mechanical scales to decide when to switch from cook to keep warm.

In practice it cooks rice either down to a dried up brown burned mass or leaves it half cooked. I am not even sure how this device can work.

I've tried more rice, less rice and the pesky thing just either overcooks or undercooks.

Not a good buy.

This is easily the best product I have bought off Amazon in a long time! I use this every time I cook rice and also works to cook other things like past and vegetables. I have also used this to slow cook food. The cooker works by checking the temperature of the pot and it knows that water can only get up to 100 degrees and when it registers over that it will turn to warm mode so it doesn't overcook rice or pasta!

After lot of research selected this product after last (8years old) gave way. This item just stopped working after 10days. Will not turn on, changed the fuse with no luck. Amazon customer service was GREAT to get the refund.

Also, when the cooker is just keeping warm, I noticed the rice at the bottom of the pot gets slightly burned. I want a cooker to auto shut off after rice is cooked, but this item goes to the 'keep warm' mode and to switch off the unit, u need turn off from the...
