Rating Brilliant Soup and Easy to clean
Review by Carol Kane on January 10, 2018Excellent buy. Makes quick wholesome soups. You make them from scratch so I know there are no additives. Is almost as quick as opening a tin. Have made tomato and basil. Cream of mushroom. Broccoli and stilton and French onion and have only had it few days. My usually very picky husband asks for seconds. Have ordered a few soup maker cookery books to get more adventerous. -
Rating Fresh soup
Review by FMA the commuter on January 4, 2018The ease of making fresh soup. Chop the veg into small bits and in 28 minutes you have a chunky soup ready to eat. If you like your soup smooth then it has a clever way of doing so. Perfect. Just the right kitchen gadget for us. -

Rating Not for me
Review by Daryl P. on November 21, 2017Well built looked good. Trusted make but I’m afraid I returned it as it’s motor housing that sits in the hot soup while making it is plastic which I don’t agree with heating food with plastics. I’ve ordered the Tefal which is completely stainless steel inside and has 2 extra functions. Fruit purée and self clean. -
Rating Would give it 0 if I could. Should have ...
Review by jojo on November 20, 2017Would give it 0 if I could. Should have heeded the other reviews saying it was a heap of junk that keeps fusing and Amazon not allowing me to return until I contact manufacturer, which completely flys in the face of the sale if goods act. Amazon clearly think they are so large they can actually break the law! -

Rating This was a 5* review. No longer.
Review by BookLover on September 2, 2015I had originally reviewed this with 5*. But after six months... my opinion has changed. Below is my original review, followed by the update.
===================
I love this soupmaker. I'm not a domestic goddess, and the results of my cookery are often scarcely edible. With soupmaker, I just toss all the ingredients in, turn it on, and 22 minutes later I have soup. It's almost always very edible indeed.
A more accomplished cook might find it less satisfactory, because it can't be... -
Rating Very easy to use with excellent results!
Review by MyReview on June 20, 2015I have always wanted to make soup but have been a bit overwhelmed by the process of it. This nifty gadget makes everything so simple! All you have to do is throw some chopped vegetables into it, add water to the fill line inside, add a stock pot (which are pretty cheap - I get 4 for ?1 at my local supermarket) and then press a couple of buttons and you're off!
There are different settings depending on how you like your soup, smooth or chunky and depending on your choice, the time to cook varies. I... -
Rating Highly recommended
Review by Forest Charm on June 20, 2015This is a brilliant piece of kit. I've never been a soup lover but having recently made the decision to become vegetarian I have been exploring new dishes and decided to give this soup maker a go. Well all I can say is I'm now a complete convert. Received it, took it out of the box, chucked some broccoli, potato, onion and Stilton in, topped it up with some vegetable stock and in 20 minutes I was tucking into a bowl of excellent soup. I couldn't believe how easy it was, and the soup was delicious... -
Rating Not Quite as Good as it Sounds
Review by penny on May 6, 2015It is a brilliant piece of equipment, so easy to use and will quickly make a meal in a bowl. I can't give it 5 stars as the contents stick and burn on the bottom because of the intense heat. When that happens the soup maker will not work. On speaking to customer services at MR they know there is a problem and suggest that the liquid is put in first and the rest of the ingredients on top. This is not stated in the user instructions and it does not really work as the ingredients sink to the bottom... -
Rating This should be a must-have gadget for every kitchen!

Rating Simply turn it on and forget about it!
Review by Silvester on December 22, 2014Having seen how much weight my father has recently lost on a soup diet, we decided it might be a good idea to try and introduce more soup into our diet. Especially during the winter months where a nice warm soup can really help warm you up!
The problem we had is that we wanted to try and get into the habit of having soup fairly frequently & we didn't have a massive amount of freezer space to be making soup's in bulk and freezing them. As such, we wanted to be able to make soups quick and on the... -

Rating Great product with one serious problem
Review by Amazon Customer on April 7, 2014We have been very happy with this product since we purchased it two years ago - so happy that we have purchased several for presents. But today, found out there is a problem for which many others have reported, and I think that there should be a recall. If your initial soup mixture is too thick and a lot of dense material sinks to the bottom before the stirrer actuates, then heat from the base cannot be transferred to the liquid above it, that bottom layer then burns, solidifies and overheats and the... -

Rating OK - but not as useful as I expected
Review by AC on February 1, 2014For dietary reasons one member of our family needs to have a lot of food in the form of soup, and someone told us about this soup maker, which seemed sure to help with this. The reviews on Amazon seemed largely positive so we got one.
I does work and I suspect for some types of soup it actually will prove excellent, but there are a number of downsides that I have already experienced:
1. The blender blade (which sticks down from the lid) is surprisingly small for quite a large jug, so... -

Rating Best tasting, and easiest soup making, ever!!!!!!
Review by B. J. Beresford on September 20, 2012OMG, if you're umming and ahhing as to whether or not to purchase this soup maker, hesitate no more!!!! You will not possibly regret it! It really is superb! So so easy to use! It literally is just a matter of chopping and throwing in all your veggies, then leaving!!!! It does it all for you! As for the washing up, there really is hardly any! Just a quick swill and its done!
The taste of the soup is to die for, and it blends it to perfection, soooo smooth! Of course you have the chunkier option...
