It does what as we expected. The water is boiling proper. No nasty smell or tastes. And it looks pretty good as well. Pity about the cost of the filters, though. Altogether we are satisfied with our purchase. But it is much to early to know how long it will last. Brian H.

Excellent idea for kitchen (filter and heat only water you need from small cup to large mug/bowl) Water is not just warm but boiled (next best thing is investing in super expensive filter tap delivering boiled water) Water looks and tastes better and is a kitchen asset. Easy to change filter, easy to use and looks very good on kitchen worktop.

Purchased at a good price during the Black Friday sale. Very happy.

Saw it in Currys after ordering and cancelled. Really cheap looking flimsy silver plastic and not at all what I look for in something which will get a lot of use.

Its big and clunky and for its size it holds very little water due to the filter. I did 3 mug fills to give the insides a clean out and due to the water container getting very warm i decided it was at risk of creating an environment for bacteria to form, more so as the water is filtered and probably removes the chlorine.

This "kettle" has the benefit of being able to easily see how much water is in the reservoir. The "volume" dial is very accurate and allows the correct amount of water to be dispensed regardless of cup/mug size. I am hoping that the Brita Filters will avoid problems associated with hard water and scaling issues.

Excellent just what I needed I can now have a proper mug of tea, I also like the fact that you can gage the water level for a cup, small mug and a large mug .
It arrived on time and was very well packed I am very happy with this item.

excellent product, easy to use easy to clean. I can even fill the filter hopper while the machine is boiling and pouring the water - very good.

Lovely freedom to make tea / coffee whenever you like. I particularly like being able to change the cup size setting for different mugs and cups.

I can't praise my new machine enough, no waiting around for the kettle to boil, just press a button and out comes your measured hot water to which temperature you want. I had a previous hot water dispenser which was also good but this one tops it by far...

I had previously owned another so called one cup maker that only heated water to 95oC and failed miserably to make a decent cup of Tea, this actually boils the filtered water and makes the best cuppa yet with no hard water scum, I drink my tea without milk or sugar so the taste of the Tea itself is very important and this is what you get with the Brita Filter, just water at the right temperature in about 45 seconds which is far faster than a kettle and you only boil water that you use for your cuppa. those...

I have previously owned both the Tefal Quick Cup (which is fast but the water was not hot enough for my liking) and the first generation of the Breville Hot Cup. The Breville Hot Cup worked perfectly, but 18 months of use in a very hard water area means it now dispenses large quantities of limescale along with the water despite regular de-scaling.

When I saw this new model with variable dispense and an inbuilt filter, I decided that it was time for the old Hot Cup to be honourably retired...
