With 3 power levels and 2 booster levels, it gives you the flexibility to match extraction power to your cooking needs.Air throughput according to EN 61591 reaches 205 350 450 m³h across Levels 1 to 3, rising to 610 655 m³h on Booster levels 1 and 2. A further set of airflow figures is also quoted at 165 320 420 m³h and 525 560 m³h on Booster levels 1 and 2.Sound power levels according to EN 60704 3 are 43 55 62 dBA across standard levels and 69 71 dBA on Booster levels. This makes cleaning easier while also improving convenience and safety during maintenance.The hood also features edge extraction, drawing cooking vapours in around the outer edges while concealing the metal grease filters behind a decorative cover for a cleaner, more streamlined look.Smart features for everyday convenienceWith Mielehome and Conctivity, the extractor can interact with a compatible hob and automatically adjust air throughput to suit your cooking settings. This helps maintain a pleasant kitchen environment with less manual adjustment. During pyrolytic oven cleaning, the cooker hood also switches on automatically to help prevent odours.The elegant SmartControl White touch controls are designed to complement Miele hobs. When switched off, only the OnOff icon remains visible, while active settings are brightly illuminated and other options appear dimmed for a clean, modern finish.A run on function allows the fan to continue extracting lingering steam and odours after cooking, with automatic switch off after 5 or 15 minutes. There are also grease filter saturation and active charcoal filter saturation indicators to help keep performance at its best.The factory set service life for the filters can be adjusted individually. The grease filter saturation indicator can be programmed for 20, 30, 40 or 50 hours, while the active charcoal filter replacement indicator can be set for 120, 180 or 240 hours.Lighting, energy efficiency and motor technologyThis Miele cooker hood includes lighting rated at 1 x 12W 1 x 8W, delivering 400 lx illumination at a 3500 Kelvin colour temperature. The recirculation conversion kit is available separately as DUU 600 and DUP 150. Compatible active charcoal filters, also ordered separately, are DKF 30 P and DKF 30 R.The Longlife AirClean filter uses a reactivatable active charcoal filter to remove odours efficiently in recirculation mode. These charcoal filters are also available as optional accessories for many wall mounted and island cooker hoods.For added peace of mind, the DAD6880 includes a safety switch off function that automatically turns the cooker hood off after 10 hours, helping to ensure safe operation even in the event of user error.
