Yamaha as501

Love it. Had a Yamaha amp in the past and couldn't imagine buying any other make now. This really delivers in all areas. Looks stunning in silver - worth the extra money, so go for it!

Was shopping around for a replacement amplifier that had two record in/ out inputs that also looked retro and had enough power to satisfy my ageing punk music collection. Done some research and it was a toss up between ARCAM or Yamaha. After a little more research and checking out at local electrical/ Hi-Fi stores I opted for this... and I am really glad I did - its awesome!

My old amp was a Cambridge Audio 640a v2 i thought it sounded great had nothing to compare it too though had it 6 years
recently read all the positive reviews on the AS500 so i bought the AS501 the new replacement
could not believe how bad the cambridge sounded but i was used to it
the yamaha just played all my current music like it was remixes i heard lot of sound and detail i previously hadn't was amazed
now i know what my speakers are cable of

Purchased this amp to replace the A-S500 which died on me three weeks ago.
