Review by TechKing on June 4, 2016In short: The Dyson V8 is an excellent handheld vacuum cleaner when it runs, it gets 40 mins of suction time at the lowest setting and 7 mins of Max setting from a 5 hour charge. This is the biggest reason to buy the V8 over the V6, which has a run time of 20 mins and 5 mins at max. At Max it could suck a golf ball up the hose pipe!
There are 2 versions of Dyson V8: Absolute (Yellow) and Animal (Titanium).

The main difference seems to be that the absolute comes with an additional head which is a soft roller for cleaning hard floors. The animal also seems to come up a tiny bit lighter, but I don’t think this is particularly noticeable on a day to day basis.
