Review by cas on January 24, 2018Needed a replacement for my previous iron which was leaking. This was the closest thing to the same product and it seems OK so far. I like a heavy iron, so be warned. The only issue with design is that I keep knocking the temperature control with my hand as I am using it. -

The footplate has grooves either side to accommodate buttons when ironing shirts which is a design I didn't know I needed, but would definitely not buy another iron without it! Easy to use, with quiet alarm tone if the iron is left unused for a short period of time. With previous irons, I have been able to coil the lead around the iron base for easy storage, unfortunately you cannot do this on this particular iron so I have knocked off one star. -

I normally like to research electronic items but we were at a local branch of a DIY store buying paint and it was sat on its ownsome in the returns bin at a very attractive price. A staff member assured us that it could be returned if not in full working order so home it came with us.
It took two sessions before I got used to the v-shaped head (my old iron was a 30+ year old Philips iron with a rounded head)... -
