Rating Good while it lasts
Review by Dr. Adam Jacobs on January 5, 2018This is my third Russell Hobbs kettle since 2012. It's good enough while it lasts, but that's not very long. The previous 2 had lasted 2 years each, which is just about acceptable given that this kettle is not the most expensive.
This one only lasted a year and a half, which frankly I think is not good enough.
Won't be buying Russell Hobbs again. -

Rating Requesting a replacement
Review by TenaciousT on May 15, 2017Bought this kettle in Feburary but the kettle doesn't work properly, as the lid keeps opening when the water is boiling. When the lid is open, the water keeps boiling in the kettle and the power doesn't cut off automatically. I would like to have a replacement please.

Rating Really is very quiet.
Review by Persephone on January 30, 2016Really is very quiet - you can hold a conversation next to it while it boils.
It also has little markers inside so that you can accurately fill it with 1,2, or 3 cups of water. Using these means that you use less energy, and it boils in literally seconds.
Finally, I like the button to open the lid - no more hot steam on my hand! -

It really is quiet (more quiet the more water you boil, but really still OK with less, eg one cup) , really fast and I have not had any trouble with strange tasting water. It looks very good, the handle is perfect for a small hand (one of the issues I have with kettles- which can make pouring boiling water tricky). The whole family has commented on how good it is, which is really something!! -

May 2016... Well, the kettle is 18 months old now and has got noisier and noisier. The awkward filter is a pain to clip back in when it insists on dropping out and for these reasons, it's going OUT !!
