De'Longhi TRD40820T

This warms my outdoor office beautifully. It took a month for the smell to completely go. It warms really well and quickly. I like the thermostat and the frost function. Haven’t noticed a vast increase in the electricity bill so all good.

I would have loved it, but there is a tiny lever for selecting off/on/timed operation. Also, my partner complains about the smell when it is used a the highest power. I quite like that smell :) Other than that, it is a fantastic item.

Not as powerful as the documentation states. I have a garden office of 4 by 4 metres and the 1.5 KW heater takes hours to warm it up. Once the room is warm, the heater does the job of keeping it warm very well, but I would suggest buying the next size up from what it says should be sufficient. I have a cheap noisy fan heater, which does get the room warm very fast, so I use that for 30 minutes then turn it off and use the oil heater to keep it warm from there on.

An absolutley wonderful electric heater, glad I went for the more expensive one. No complaints on this score, look forward to years of use. Well made, looks very good.

I bought this three months ago and really like it. It's very robust and not at all flimsy. It has little roller feet which will tuck in flush for storage when not in use and it's easily moved about via a hand slot in the side. I live in a Victorian house with huge almost to the floor bay windows so even with double glazing it gets pretty cold when the heating is off. Rather than have the heating on all day heating the entire house I wanted something to supplement between the times the heating was on. I set...

Delivery was good. On unpacking . the wheels just pull out into postion. Very easy. I tested it out as per instructions as this gets rid of any newness smells. ( set on high for a few hours. No smell detected.) I have tested it on all the settings and it works fine. The weather has been pretty mild since I purchased it, so it is not in everyday use. I purchased this heater as a back up to Underfloor heating. Which is okay but come the evenings tails off, especially if you have outside doors opening and closing...

Tried a few cheap oil filled radiators previously and I have to say this DeLonghi Dragon 4 worth any extra penny.
I use it with great results in a small/medium sized room (aprox. 8m by 8m) with high ceiling.
The "chimney effect" works well.
The built in timer is a great feature.
Really quiet (bear in mind, at the first run you should run this heater on maximum settings for 2 hours, and because of the temperature changing the heater's elements can give a popping sound. It is normal...

I cannot fathom why Delonghi's product designers would take a perfectly useful feature on their Dragon-3 range and leave it out of their Dragon-4 heaters. They have decided to leave out a proper timer feature, and what they call a timer is really just a delayed start. So for example, if you want the heater to come on at 10pm every night and turn off at 7am, you're out of luck (unless you want to count the number of hours until 10pm every time you wake up).
