£79.99, good quality generally, flimsy-ish handle

Handle very flimsy, suction is out of this world. Slightly worried how long handle will hold up to rigour of yanking vacuum cleaner across carpet it is trying to rip off the floor. The amount of fine dust this hoover collects is worrying, it looks like a sandpit. I have a dyson DC29 as well (5 years old plus) which is currently outperformed by this. I doubt this will be the case in 2 years, but, e'll see. Paid £79.99.

Couldn't believe that a new hoover at half the price of the comparable Dyson DC40 could be any good. How wrong I was. This little beauty is well made, lighter, quieter, has a great suction, very manoeuvrable - on both carpets and hard floors - extra long suction hose, long cable (it reached the top of a three floor staircase), and it was easy to assemble. My wallet is a lot fatter for returning the Dyson....and it has a 6 year guarantee. I'm well pleased.
