Bosch WAQ283S1GB

I have no idea how Which Magazine assessed this WAQ283S1GB as a Best Buy as the washing is still wet when the wash cycle ends.

We have purchased Bosch white goods, from the Classixx Range, including Bosch washing machines for over 20 years and when the old Bosch washing machine needed new motor brushes we decided to just buy a new one and since this WAQ283S1GB was, (for some inexplicable reason), a Which Magazine Best Buy we purchased one of these as it had the same 1400 spin speed as our old Bosch...

Great machine, until it failed nearly 2 years in. The spin gradually got noisier until there was an unbearably loud knocking noise and you could not hold a conversation in the same room. If you get these symptoms be sure to notify Bosch within 2 years. Bosch, after trying to repair it, replaced our machine after 23 months (replacement took just over a week),with no quibbling. The servicing engineers were very good. So that's 4-5 star credit on the customer service score. Apparently if we'd left it to 25...

I've had this washing machine for around six weeks and can't really find any fault with it. Having purchased Bosch products previously and been very happy with them, it made sense to buy this washing machine even though it's not the cheapest on the market. In my experience, Bosch is a far superior brand to Hotpoint (I have had many problems with Hotpoint washing machines being very short-lived and prone to faults in recent years).
